Welcome To the Harlem Renaissance!

This website explores some of the key historical events that led to the Great Migration and the birth of the Harlem Renaissance. We will share pre- and post- Harlem Renaissance factors that led to this great period in history. We analyzed the migration using US Census Data from the 1900 to 1930s.  The data tells the story of this historical mass movement of people in search of a better destiny.  What do the migratory and geographical patterns demonstrate about their quest? Is geography destiny?
